With over 100 kids, 'AMPED' was the most successful Youth group in Garthdee. In 2017, it moved to Kaimhill School/Learning Centre and relaunched in partnership with HALLA, hosting volunteers from Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (AFCCT), Aberdeen City Council Communities department, and Aberdeen Christ Central. We now have youth from the whole Harlaw area (that's Garthdee, Broomhill and Ferryhill Primary Schools).
HALLA is serious about investing in people. In partnership with Kaimhill Primary School and Janesfield Sheltered Housing we are piloting, funding and resourcing a project that will enthuse both young and old alike.
"Our past does not determine our future,
but our past will inform our future"
Our Strollers come together from all walks of life. We are delighted to be able to use our mini-bus to take our groups out and about as they look for new paths to journey and new places to stroll. If you fancy joining our walking community or simply having a walk out with new friends, then -up-in or drop us a line.
You are in one of the most historical cities in Scotland. With intricate granite facades and breathtaking architecture, Aberdeen is a city filled with heritage. Come and join a local expert share his images, his research, and let him impart his wealth of knowledge.
The HALLA Community Centre is housed in the magnificent Kaimhill Learning Centre / Kaimhill Primary School, with many rooms, halls and an amazing Astoturf football pitch. We'd love to see you some time soon!
